If Christianity were true, would you become a Christian?

Take a moment to consider this question. Your response might change your life.

Are You a Good Person?

Are You Going to Make It to Heaven?

Most people believe they're good enough for heaven. But let's test that assumption against God's standard—the Ten Commandments.

Have you ever told a lie?

Even a "white lie" makes you a liar. Most of us have lied many times.

Have you ever stolen anything?

Regardless of the value—even something small—that makes you a thief.

Have you ever looked with lust?

Jesus said, "Whoever looks at a woman to lust for her has already committed adultery with her in his heart" (Matthew 5:28).

Have you always loved God above all else?

The first and greatest commandment is to love God with all your heart, soul, mind, and strength. Have you always done this?

The Verdict

If you've broken even one of these commandments, and we all did, you stand guilty before God. The Bible says, "All have sinned and fall short of the glory of God" (Romans 3:23). By God's standard of perfection, we are all guilty.

The consequences are serious: "The wages of sin is death" (Romans 6:23), and on Judgment Day, justice demands that sin be punished.

The Good News

But here's the incredible news: Even though we broke God's law, Jesus paid the fine.

That's what happened on the cross. Jesus took the punishment we deserved. He died in our place so that we could be forgiven. Then He rose from the dead, defeating death itself.

The Bible says, "God demonstrates His own love toward us, in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us" (Romans 5:8).

How Should You Respond?

  • Repent: Turn away from your sins
  • Believe: Trust in Jesus Christ alone for salvation
  • Surrender: Make Him the Lord of your life

"If you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved" (Romans 10:9).

So... Are You Going to Make It to Heaven?

Not by being "good enough"—none of us are. But by God's grace, through faith in Jesus Christ, you can be saved. Will you trust Him today?

"I work at an architecture company, and as I walk around looking at buildings, no one ever says, 'I wonder how many billions of years it took for this building to appear by chance.' We all know that if there is a building, there must be a builder.

In the same way, when we look at the complexity and beauty of the world around us, how can we believe it came from nothing, by mere chance? Just as a building points to an architect, creation points to its Creator."

Three Powerful Arguments for God's Existence

The Cosmological Argument

Everything that begins to exist has a cause

The Logic:

  • Everything that begins to exist has a cause
  • The universe began to exist
  • Therefore, the universe has a cause

The Science: The Big Bang theory confirms the universe had a beginning. Modern cosmology shows space, time, and matter all came into existence at a specific point. Whatever caused the universe must be outside of space, time, and matter—pointing to a transcendent Creator.

The Question: Why is there something rather than nothing? The existence of the universe itself demands an explanation beyond natural causes.

The Teleological Argument

Design demands a Designer

The Fine-Tuning: The universe appears exquisitely calibrated for life. If any of dozens of fundamental constants were altered even slightly, life would be impossible. The odds of this happening by chance are astronomically small—like winning the lottery billions of times in a row.

Examples:

  • Gravitational constant: If altered by 1 x 10⁻⁴⁰, our sun would not exist, and, therefore, neither would we.
  • Electromagnetic force: Precise calibration allows chemistry
  • Nuclear forces: Perfect balance enables stable atoms
  • DNA: Contains about 3,000 million pairs of letters within each human cell

The Conclusion: When we see a watch, we infer a watchmaker. When we see the fine-tuned universe and information-rich DNA, shouldn't we infer an intelligent Designer?

The Moral Argument

Objective morality requires God

The Logic:

  • If God does not exist, objective moral values do not exist
  • Objective moral values do exist
  • Therefore, God exists

The Reality: We all recognize certain actions as truly wrong—not just socially unacceptable, but objectively evil. The Holocaust was wrong regardless of what the Nazis believed. Child abuse is evil even if a culture permits it.

The Problem: In a purely materialistic universe of atoms and molecules, why would anything be truly "right" or "wrong"? These are just subjective preferences—unless there is a transcendent moral lawgiver.

The Evidence: Our universal sense of justice, guilt, and moral obligation points to a moral God who has written His law on our hearts.

Evidence for Jesus Christ and the Resurrection

Historical Jesus

The vast majority of historians, including non-Christians, accept that Jesus was a historical figure who lived in 1st-century. His existence is better documented than most ancient figures.

Multiple independent sources Early dating Scholarly consensus 95%+

Death by Crucifixion

Jesus's death by crucifixion is one of the most certain facts about his life, attested by multiple hostile and neutral sources. Even skeptical scholars accept this as historical fact.

Roman records Multiple early sources Enemy attestation

Empty Tomb

The empty tomb is attested by multiple early sources and acknowledged by opponents. Even critics had to explain why the tomb was empty, rather than deny it.

Early testimony Women as witnesses Enemy acknowledgment

Post-Mortem Appearances

Over 500 people claimed to see Jesus alive after his crucifixion. These weren't visions or hallucinations, but physical encounters where Jesus ate, spoke, and could be touched.

Multiple witnesses Physical interactions Transformed skeptics

Origin of Christianity

The rapid spread of Christianity, despite persecution, and the transformation of the disciples from fearful followers to bold martyrs requires explanation. The resurrection best explains these facts.

Explosive growth Willingness to die Jewish context

The Logical Conclusion

"If God exists and the Resurrection happened, then Christianity is true."
